DL @keanu_tanuvasa lands 2nd Pac-12 offer
Mission Viejo (Calif.) defensive lineman Keanu Tanuvasa picked up his second offer out of the Pac-12 on Friday.
Tanuvasa has been on a nice run as of late and is now up to seven scholarship offers. Arizona offered on Friday and the Cats join earlier offers from Boise State, Oregon State, San Jose State, Utah State and Yale.
Tanuvasa is one of the state’s top defensive tackle prospects and had a solid junior season. The Diablos had one of the region’s top defenses and Tanuvasa was a big part of that. He routinely took on double teams and still finished the year with 30 tackles, six for loss and five quarterback sacks.
At 6-4, 275 pounds, Tanuvasa is a big, strong kid who plays with a great motor. He’s relentless in how he pursues the football and shows enough athleticism to make plays outside of his area.
He plays with advanced technique, has strong hands and is able to manhandle an opposing guard or center when singled up. He does a nice job getting off blocks, shows good lateral mobility and has the potential to be one of the top defensive players in the state this fall.
