HAWAII GROWN: More than 100 players from Hawaii on Division I rosters

Kahuku's Hirkley Latu, Keala Santiago and Bradlee Anae all signed their letters of intent in high school in 2016. Latu is in the process of transferring from BYU while Santiago is at Utah with Anae, who is now a fourth-year senior and a first-team, All-Pac-12 defensive lineman. The Hawaii Grown Report returns for another year at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser starting in Wednesday’s newspaper with a profile on Utah senior Bradlee Anae, a first-team, All-Pac-12 defensive lineman from Kahuku for the 10th-ranked Utes, who are the preseason favorites to win the conference.

Anae is one of five players who graduated from high school in Hawaii on the Utah roster. The Utes are one of 37 FBS teams with at least one player from Hawaii.

Below is a list of the 87 players from Hawaii high schools on a D-I mainland roster (not including the University of Hawaii). There are also 33 players currently listed on the rosters of FCS schools. They are also listed below.

Hawaii Prep World and the Star-Advertiser will provide updates on these kids throughout the football season.
