Jim Harbaugh has some competition.

After making headlines offering a quarterback from Hawaii before his freshman year, Harbaugh and his Michigan Wolverines finally have some competition in their pursuit of Kahuku quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava.

Maiava tweeted that he has received a second scholarship offer on Wednesday — this one from Mountain West Conference member Fresno State.

Maiava, who is 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, led Kahuku to an 11-2 record and a second consecutive OIA title. The Red Raiders advanced to the state final for the second straight year and Maiava played in all 13 games, going 50-for-110 passing for 839 yards and eight touchdowns with three interceptions. Maiava also rushed 49 times for 342 yards and five touchdowns and scored the Red Raiders’ only TD in a loss to eventual national champion Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.
