Florence moves on in South Africa

World Champion John John Florence of Hawaii advances to Round Five where he will face world Owen Wright of Australia at the Corona Open J-Bay at Supertubes, Jeffreys Bay, South Africa.
Reigning WSL champion John John Florence earned his first perfect 10 of the year to take second in the fourth round of the Corona Open J-Bay in South Africa on Tuesday.
Despite the stellar ride, Florence fell to rookie Frederico Morais of Puerto Rico 19.07-17.17. Mick Fanning of Australia finished third in the heat with 14.90 points.
Morais and Fanning move on to the fifth round. Hawaii rookie Ezekiel Lau will not be with them after losing 16.83-9.67 to Owen Wright of Australia in the third round. Lau had the lowest score of any surfer in the round.
