Florence advances to Round 4 in Tahiti

Reigning World Champion John John Florence of Hawaii, current No.2 on the Jeep Leaderboard, advanced to Round Four of the Billabong Pro Tahiti after defeating Nat Young in Heat 7 of Round Three at Teahupo’o, Tahiti.
Haleiwa’s John John Florence is the lone Hawaii surfer left after Day 2 of the Billabong Pro Tahiti. He clinched Heat 7 in Round 3 with a score of 18.70 over Nat Young’s 15.23 in Teauhupo’o on Saturday. Florence will face Conner Coffin and Julian Wilson in Round 4.
Kauai’s Sebastian Zietz defeated Brazil’s Miguel Pupo in Round 2, but fell to Kolohe Andino by 0.4 points in the following round. Honolulu’s Ezekiel Lau lost to Wiggolly Dantas in the final heat of Round 2 with a score of 8.03 to 12.57.
