A third Kahuku football player has been invited to the 2018 Polynesian Bowl with the selection of linebacker Fatu Atuaia.

Atuaia, who is 6 feet and 225 pounds, has been a force in the middle of the Kahuku defense. In a 42-7 win over Campbell in the OIA semifinals, Atuaia had four tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception — all in the first half.

Atuaia joins running back Enoch Nawahine and defensive end Samson Reed as Red Raiders who have been selected to the high school football all-star game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Aloha Stadium.

Kahuku will play Saint Louis for the Open Division state championship on Saturday night.

The following 29 players from Hawaii have been selected for the 2018 Polynesian Bowl. The final selection will be made tonight on the season-ending episode of Cover2: Hawaii High School Football Weekly at 9:30 p.m. on KHON2.
