HAWAII GROWN: Ah-Hoy forced to medically retire

Kahuku alumnus Kesi Ah-Hoy, who played five games as a true freshman at Oregon State last season, is no longer listed on the roster and has been forced to medically retire, sports information director Steve Fenk confirmed today.
Ah-Hoy remains on scholarship and in school and is helping the team on the recruiting side.
A two-time first-team All-State selection with the Red Raiders, Ah-Hoy made 11 tackles with one tackle for loss in a limited defensive role and on special teams for the Beavers last year. He also averaged 20.4 yards on his five kickoff returns.
In high school, Ah-Hoy played quarterback as a junior and made the All-State first team as a utility player. During his senior season, Ah-Hoy was a first-team selection as a safety.
Ah-Hoy had committed to Hawaii before opening up his recruitment in the final two months and eventually decided to sign with Oregon State.
He was one of nine Hawaii high school graduates on the OSU roster last season.
The Beavers currently have seven Hawaii high school graduates on the roster. Three will be redshirt freshmen next year — cornerback Moku Watson (Leilehua), offensive lineman Onesimus Clarke(Waianae) and linebacker Alexander Skelton (Punahou). The Beavers added offensive lineman Keli’i Montibon, a junior-college transfer and KS-Hawaii alumnus, in the offseason to join a roster including tight end Tuli Wily-Matagi (Kahuku) and defensive linemen LaMone Williams (Kahuku) and Kalani Vakameilalo (Kapolei).
The Beavers also signed Saint Louis defensive back Isaiah Tufaga, who will be a freshman next season.
