Tausili Akana begins his freshman year at his new school, Kamehameha, in a matter of weeks.

Akana made a splash recently with an MVP award at the All-Poly Camp in Utah, which led to scholarship offers from Hawaii, Brigham Young and Utah on the same day, June 16.

Akana grew up playing for the Laie Park Red Raiders football program, and now follows the footsteps of his sisters, Braelyn and Keonilei, to Kamehameha. The 6-3, 195-pound football/basketball athlete chatted after the Warrior Football Elite Camp. His parents are former Hawaii Warriors Brandyn Akana(basketball) and Joselyn (Robins) Akana (volleyball).

Braelyn will play volleyball at Hawaii this year. Keonilei will be a senior volleyball player at Kamehameha and has committed to Southern California.
